Description
The accounting technician will be part of a dynamic accounting team within a growing construction company.
The person will be responsible for ensuring rigorous follow-up of accounting by project, in addition to contributing to general accounting activities. His/her work will play a key role in the financial rigor and excellence offered to our customers.
Responsabilities
- Generate client billing (package deal and management contracts).
- Process subcontractor invoices and prepare payments.
- Release holdbacks when required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date project costs: supplier invoices, site payroll, internal expenses, allocations, etc.
- Verify the compliance of supporting documents (approvals, purchase orders, delivery slips, work orders, contracts).
- Perform project cost reconciliations and produce budget tracking reports.
- Collaborate with project managers to validate costs, identify variances, and document anomalies.
- Prepare cost‑progress statements for billing purposes.
- Participate in the preparation of project financial statements and monthly analyses.
- Ensure rigorous filing of project‑related documents.
- Manage waivers, notices, compliance letters, CCQ, and CNESST documentation.
- Contribute to improving accounting processes and maintaining internal controls.
- Prepare and record journal entries (depreciation, provisions, adjustments).
- Participate in the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle.
- Maintain documented and standardized processes.
Required profile
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar job.
- Professional and dynamic personnality.
- Availability to work on site in Lévis.
