Description
The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for the full management of construction projects, from start to final delivery. He is the primary point of contact for planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities to ensure that costs, schedules, and quality standards are respected.
Working with site teams, professionals, and subcontractors, he ensures that work is carried out efficiently and that trusting relationships with clients and partners are established and maintained.
Responsabilities
Under the supervision of the Construction Director, the Senior Construction Project Manager works closely with the Superintendent and Project Coordinator.
Main responsibilities :
- Manage the entire project, from preliminary design to final delivery ;
- Plan and update project schedules ;
- Ensure cost control, budget monitoring, and payment authorization ;
- Manage calls for tenders and participate in negotiations with professionals and subcontractors ;
- Leading and coordinating preliminary design and site meetings ;
- Maintaining effective communication with clients and following up on their requests ;
- Working closely with the superintendent to ensure that the work proceeds smoothly ;
- Identifying potential issues and implementing the necessary corrective measures ;
- Contributing to the development of business relationships and representing the company to partners.
Required profile
- DEC in architecture, BAC in construction engineering, or equivalent training ;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management ;
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards and mastery of plans and specifications ;
- Ability to organize your time and priorities and work to a tight schedule ;
- Excellent negotiator ;
- Ability to listen and solve problems ;
- Ability to work in a team ;
- Valid driver’s license ;
- Knowledge of Office and Microsoft Project ;
- Knowledge of Vision, Procore, and ConstructBuy software (an asset) ;
