Description
The role of the project manager is to supervise and manage the entire execution of a construction project, from the preliminary design to its final delivery. He is the conductor who guides the work teams and ensures compliance with the established plan, which allows the work to be carried out to the client’s satisfaction.
Responsabilities
Under the supervision of the construction director, the project manager works closely with the site superintendent and the project coordinator. His main responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the project coordinator, manage calls for tenders;
- Analyze, negotiate agreements with professionals, subcontractors and make recommendations to clients;
- Ensure full monthly control of the budget of his projects and authorize payments;
- Prepare and update the schedule of his projects;
- Ensure a periodic presence at the site and collaborate with the superintendent to provide the necessary tools for the smooth running of the project;
- Respond to the various requests of the client and subcontractors and follow up with them;
- Diriger, coordonner et participer aux réunions d’avant-projet et de chantier;
- Lead, coordinate and participate in pre-project and site meetings;
- Ensure good business development and be an ambassador for the company’s values;
- Other related tasks depending on the sites.
Required profile
- DCS in architecture, BEng in construction engineering or similar experience;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (an asset);
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards and mastery of plans and specifications;
- Ability to organize time, priorities and work in a tight schedule;
- Be an excellent negotiator;
- Ability to listen and solve problems;
- Capacité à travailler en équipe;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Have a valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of Office and Microsoft Project software;
- Knowledge of Vision, Procore and Constructbuy softwares (an asset);
