Construction of a multifunctional complex

Description

Design and construction of a multifunctional building in St-Augustin de Desmaures to replace existing and dilapidated facilities.

The project consisted of demolishing, in a first phase, the Jean-Marie Roy Center (existing 3-story building including a gymnasium), whose roof had partially collapsed in March 2019. This also included the removal of asbestos. During this stage, our team also proceeded with the design of the new building, the construction of which was carried out in a second phase.

The new multifunctional complex includes the following:

  • A double gymnasium
  • A sports palestra
  • Changing rooms for men and women including showers
  • Four community and multifunctional rooms
  • Storage spaces

Among the particularities of the project, there was the recovery of mechanical and geothermal elements, as well as the construction of the new building in steel structure on the current foundations.
